【書評】《象棋管窺》 訴說象棋的前世今生
經加拿大朋友認識了青田教育中心的創辦人韋惠英女士，最近有幸到位於長沙灣的青田教育中心出版社參觀。中心內有不同的書籍，其有一本書吸引了我的目光，是馮以浤先生著的《象棋管窺》。我經常逛書店，印象中已有十數年未見有關於象棋的書在香港出版，七八十年代在旺角書店有見過幾本有關「棋局」的書，之後也沒見過其他有關象棋的書了。

2022年初，我與一位加拿大朋友聊看書這話題，得知朋友最近寫了一篇文章，記述她童年住在長洲的回憶，並收錄於新書《香港百人童年》中。我對書的題目感到十分有趣，馬上在網上搜尋有關這書的資料。

【中國歷史】 學歷史可以了解人性？
多年來，香港的教育只着重於人的職業訓練，考取學位，以確保謀生資格。歷史知識在社會、在實際工作中被認為沒什麼作用，只要知一點便足夠。這種對教育的狹隘理解，導致許多人缺乏批判性思考，難於面對當今複雜的世界帶來的挑戰。
