我們如何收集您的個人資料？

How do we collect your personal data?
We collect personal information from you when you visit our website, subscribe to our services, submit articles and letters to the editor, or otherwise interact with us. We mainly collect your personal information through the following three channels:
1) When you register as a member on truereport.hk, or pay to“"support u”" through PayPal, Google Pay or Credit Card, we will collect your name and email address. These payment platforms will also provide us with your account name, email address, payment amount and other information.
2) If you leave a comment on our website, we will retain your username. If you choose to upload a personal photo to your user profile page, we will also retain your photo.
3) When you visit our website, we may use "cookie" files or similar technologies to automatically collect your personal data such as information about your use of our website, to understand how well the website is performing.
How do we use your personal data?
We will use information such as members’ or donors’ email addresses, payment amount and date to send reporting alerts and newsletters, as well as use your personal information collected through cookie files to improve website performance. Can you delete your data stored on our website system?
Whether a member or a sponsor, you can email [email protected] at any time to request the deletion of your personal data.
Members can send us an email to request the cancellation of their registration. Upon receiving the members’ request, we will cancel their account on our website system. All personal data provided by the member during registration, including username, email address, name, gender, birth year, subscription details, etc., will be completely deleted.
Sponsors can request us to delete their personal data provided during the payment process. Upon receiving the sponsors' request, we will remove their data from the website system, including email address, name, payment amount, sponsorship period, and banking or credit card information.
